Qatar Classic Cars Contest and Exhibition 2021 on the Pearl with wide participation

In the presence of a large number of dignitaries and community stars, the second edition of Qatar Classic Cars contest and Exhibition 2021 was launched in Medina Centrale on the Pearl Island, organized by the Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association under the patronage of Her Excellency Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums Board of Trustees. In partnership with the United Development Company, the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands.
The organization of the “Qatar Classic Car contest and Exhibition 2021” comes after obtaining the approval of the Ministry of Public Health for the event, and with all participants’ commitment to the precautionary measures specified by the Ministry, to limit the spread of the Corona virus “Covid-19”.
On this occasion, Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani said, “I am pleased to express my great happiness for the opening of this long-awaited showroom after overcoming the Covid-19 crisis. We hope that it will represent a new start for the classic car sector in Qatar, a sector that still needs more attention.” And the support of all concerned parties and all of us as owners and enthusiasts of classic cars, in order to advance this important sector to the level of our ambitions and hopes.

He added, "The Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association seeks to provide a distinct and attractive environment to preserve classic cars as a legacy passed on by generations, and a community heritage owned by a professional and conscious generation that has all the skills necessary to preserve and preserve this heritage, by providing the owners of these cars and providing them with educational, artistic and cultural experiences, as It seeks to provide all social, cultural and technical services, thus contributing to the creation of an educated generation that has the skills to deal with this category of cars in order to preserve and preserve it as a heritage, legacy and history.”

Speaking about the importance of the association, Sheikh Faisal said, “We also aspire to introduce the Qatari community primarily to the Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association as a sponsor and supporter for owners of this category of cars, and to highlight the association’s activity in the Qatari community, as well as encourage investment in classic cars, and highlight its history in Qatar, in addition to introducing the different stages that the classic car industry went through.”
For his part, Omar bin Hussein Al-Fardan, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association, said, "The acquisition of classic cars for many in Qatar represents a culture and heritage that must be preserved, so that it has become seen as part of the culture and heritage of Qatari society, which must be all concerned, especially Owners of classic cars, preserving and enhancing them. Mr. Ahmed Al-Namlah, CEO of Qatar Museums, on behalf of Her Excellency Sheikha Al-Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chair of the Board of Trustees of Qatar Museums, thanked the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Society represented by Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Society’s Board of Directors, and Mr. Omar Al Fardan. Vice Chairman of the Association’s Board of Directors, for their great efforts to support the culture of caring for classic cars, acquiring them, and preserving them as a cultural heritage.
He also stressed that the Qatar Classic Cars Competition and Exhibition has become, through the efforts of the Society, an annual event that attracts a wide range of classic car collectors and lovers, and celebrates classic cars and their owners as part of the culture and heritage of Qatari society.
At the conclusion of his speech, Mr. Ahmed Al-Namla indicated that the presence of Qatar Museums as a main sponsor is the beginning of a series of future activities and projects that will combine the fields of classic cars, art and design, and which will be developed with the Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association and M.
