Press Conference for the Announcement of the Qatar Luxury Classic Cars Contest & Exhibition 2025

The announcement was made during a press conference held yesterday at Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, in the presence of representatives from the event’s supporting and sponsoring entities.

The Qatari Gulf Association for Classic Cars has announced  the sixth edition of the Qatar Luxury Classic Cars Contest & Exhibition 2025, at a press conference held yesterday at Marsa Malaz Kempinski Hotel, in the presence of representatives from the event’s supporting and sponsoring entities. Held under the honorary patronage of H.E. Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums, this year’s edition will take place at Medina Centrale, The Pearl Island, from 19 to 23 November 2025, with the participation of the International Federation of Historic Vehicles (FIVA). The event was attended by senior officials from the Association and representatives of sponsors and partners. The conference was opened by Eng. Abdul Latif Ali Al Yafei, Board Member and General Secretary of the Association, followed by remarks from the supporting institutions and broad media coverage.

Strategic Partnerships and National Support

The Association announced its strategic partnership with leading organizations, notably United Development Company (UDC), the master developer of The Pearl and Gewan Islands, as the Strategic Partner for the contest and exhibition.
The main supporter of the event is the Social and Sports Activities Support Fund (Daam), alongside Qatar Museums, Sheikh Faisal Bin Qassim Al Thani Museum, and Alfardan Automobiles Group as main sponsors, Alfardan Hospitality as the exclusive hospitality sponsor, and Al Sharq Newspaper as the official media partner.
Eng. Al Yafei highlighted the importance of this collaboration in ensuring the success of the most prominent classic car event in Qatar and the region, noting that this year’s edition will witness unprecedented expansion in both area and participation, with valuable cash and in-kind prizes to enhance competition and excitement.

Regional Participation and Exceptional Growth

Al Yafei explained that the exhibition will attract an elite selection of luxury classic car owners from Qatar and GCC countries. Early online registration allowed participants to prepare their rare vehicles in advance.
Out of 180 registered vehicles, 71 luxury classic cars were selected to compete, divided into five categories according to the judging standards of the FIVA.

Specialized Judging Panel and Distinguished Awards
The jury committee includes six judges, four international experts with extensive experience in classic car evaluation and two from Qatar who have served in four previous editions.
The Association allocated 20 valuable prizes distributed as follows:
    •    15 prizes for the top three winners in each of the five categories:
    1.    Pre-1947
    2.    1948–1959
    3.    1960–1970
    4.    1971–1981
    5.    1982–1995

    •    5 Excellence Awards:
    •    Best Exceptional Luxury Car
    •    Most Iconic and Distinguished Car
    •    Best Preserved Original Car
    •    Best Preserved Qatari Heritage Car
    •    Best Car in Show

Winners will be announced and honored during the closing ceremony on 23 November 2025.
