20 Winners in Classic Cars Competition

The activities of the Qatar Classic Cars Competition and Exhibition 2021, which lasted for 6 days, concluded yesterday, during which the exhibition attracted large numbers of visitors and tourists. The exhibition, which witnessed the honoring of 20 winners, was held on The Pearl, Qatar.

On this occasion, the exhibition management organized a large party attended by a number of dignitaries, presented by His Excellency Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association, Mr. Omar Al Fardan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association, and Mr. Turki bin Mohammed Al Khater, President The Board of Directors of the United Development Company, and Mr. Ibrahim Jassim Al-Othman, CEO, Member of the Board of Directors of the United Development Company, and those interested in the world of classic cars.

For his part, Omar bin Hussain Al-Fardan, Vice-Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association, confirmed the success of the exhibition this year, saying: “This unparalleled success achieved by the exhibition during its activities has strengthened the position of the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association in the Qatari community as a sponsor and supporter. For owners of this category of cars, he also highlighted the pivotal and main role of the private sector in contributing to the tourism promotion of Qatar by creating annual exhibitions and events that create new tourist destinations that attract specialists, amateurs, tourists and visitors from the local community.”

Al-Fardan explained that the classic car exhibition represents a new start for the classic car sector in Qatar, and the association seeks, in coordination with all relevant authorities, to enhance its position in the agenda of annual events in Doha, with the aim of placing this important sector in its rightful position as a heritage and tourism event that promotes local tourism in the country. It attracts classic car lovers from different countries of the world, especially since the number of owners and enthusiasts of this type of car is on a remarkable growth in Qatar, the region and the countries of the world.

Mr. Ibrahim Jassim Al-Othman, CEO and Board Member of the United Development Company, confirmed that The Pearl is ready to host major and important events such as the Classic Car Show. He said: We have everything needed to host and succeed major mass events, and we will work with the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association to organize more Activities on the Pearl Island.

His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani praised the great turnout witnessed by the exhibition this year, and said: The Gulf Qatar Classic Car Association succeeded in creating an annual platform that brings together owners and enthusiasts to acquire rare models of classic cars, and to inform the public, citizens and residents, of the importance of this type.
