Muharraq Club President wins Best Classic Car in Qatar

A 1958 Dodge Dual-Ghia car of European design and American manufacture, owned by Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Muharraq Club, won the Best Car Award at the Qatar Classic Luxury Cars Competition and Exhibition, which was held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Honorary President of the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association, in the Katara Cultural Village, during the period from March 29 to April 2.

About 80 rare classic cars of historical value participated in the exhibition and competition, in addition to sports cars that broke records in the world, in addition to rare cars and cars that were designed as a masterpiece of art and engineering. The number of participating countries reached 20, organized by the Qatar Gulf Classic Car Association. The exhibition and competition were organized with the aim of spreading awareness of the importance of the culture and heritage of classic cars.

The Qatar Luxury Classic Cars Competition and Exhibition is the first fruit of cooperation between the Qatar Classic Car Society and the International Classic Car Federation (FIVA), and to confirm this relationship, the Society was keen to host this international competition for the first time in the State of Qatar, and this competition was launched in its first session in Paris. In 1920, it has gained over the past years the followers of millions around the world and thousands of participants who love to own the most luxurious cars in the world.

Sheikh Ahmed bin Ali bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Muharraq Club, dedicated this achievement to His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the Honorary President of Muharraq Club, His Royal Highness Prince Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the distinguished Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince, Deputy Supreme Commander and First Deputy Prime Minister, affirmed his pride and happiness in achieving this achievement among the 20 participating countries of the world.
